Weekend Hot Wheels haul - success!

This past weekend for my routine I went Hot Wheels hunting while my girlfriend was at work. I hit three Wal-Marts, a Toys-R-us, and a dollar general. I didn't find 1 car I was looking for. I then pulled into a Gerbe's lot to search for the nearest Kroger on my phone and realized that the place I was at was a division of Kroger! I figured I would give it a shot so I went inside and OH MY LANTA....the dump bin! As soon as I reached in I realized that most of the cars were from 2011-2012!!! The cases were beat to shit but I found some really really cool stuff!

First: 1972 Ford Gran Torino sport! I have been looking for any Torino for a while to no avail. It is from 2011 and was the only one in the bin!

Next up is a super sweet S2000 in plain jane silver! I have a couple in race livery and had no idea they made the car in this casting without. It is also from 2011.

Next is a Porsche GT3 RS in BLUE! I have the orange and black versions from 2013 but had no idea they made this one. Looks killer in these colors! It is a 2011 car as well and was the only one in the bin!

Last is a Datsun 510. I have this car in yellow and wanted another color so I said why not. Car is from 2012.

There were probably 10 more cars I almost bought but decided against it. I went 100% through the bin over 30 minutes and got some stares lol. Next weekend I definitely plan to hit up more stores to see if they have old cars also.

A canon powershot SX260...I am reading off the front of the camera lol. It's nothing really special. Just decent light and a couple sheets of printer paper in the back to make the photos seem better than they are. Thank you though!

It sure is! 6.1 HEMI piston to be exact. It usually holds my business cards on my desk

Is it cool if I borrow the idea? I have a piston out of a snowmobile that seized up. My pictures are nothing compared to yours but I like the idea.

Sweet! I'm really new at taking pictures. My knowledge is push button get picture. My sister is awesome with a camera. I just don't have it.

I remember seeing the silver S2000 in a ten-car pack here, along with a GT3 RS. I have the former now, but I quite regret passing up the chance to get that GT3 RS... by the way, is the GT3 RS the second-gen version?

Well I'm not sure to be honest. I just compared it to my GT3s from 2013 and they match if that tells you anything.
